MFS appoints Nevin Chitkara to the Special Value Trust management team

Minneapolis, Jan. 11 ¨C MFS Investment Management added Nevin P. Chitkara to the portfolio management team of the MFS Special Value Trust, according to a press release.

Effective immediately Chitkara will manage the equity portion of the fund, replacing Brooks Taylor.

Both Chitkara and Taylor will continue with their other portfolio management responsibilities at MFS, the company said.

Chitkara joins William J. Adams and David P. Cole, the current fixed-income portfolio managers for the fund.

There will be no change to the fund¡¯s investment strategy as a result of Chitkara¡¯s appointment.

MFS is a Boston-based money management firm.
