Mentor shareholder HBK buys 1.1 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 15 - HBK Master Fund LP bought 1.1 million shares of Mentor Corp. between Oct. 6 and Dec. 12 at prices from $13.92 to $30.64 each, it was reported in a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

With the purchase, HBK beneficially owns approximately 2.37 million shares, or 6.8%, of the Santa Barbara, Calif., medical products company.

HBK's products are used in the aesthetic and general surgery markets.
