Medwave: FDA OKs sensor-based blood pressure monitor

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 20 - Medwave Inc. received Food and Drug Administration clearance to market Fusion, its non-invasive sensor-based blood pressure with vital signs options monitor.

The Danvers, Mass., medical device company also recently launched Primo, its portable, handheld blood pressure monitor used in hospitals and clinics nationwide.

Both Fusion and Primo can accurately monitor patients with 11 cm to 22 cm wrist sizes.
