Medtronic launches new defibrillator

New York, March 23 - Medtronic, Inc. announced its Lifepak 1000 defibrillator with cprMAX technology, a new product intended to improve response time for emergency care.

"We are excited to offer first responders a new defibrillation platform that can be tailored to their needs," said Brian Webster, vice president, global marketing and solutions with Medtronic Emergency Response Systems, in a news release.

Webster Medtronic said the device can be configured to meet a wide range of emergency response needs and is upgradeable to allow improvements in care as the technology develops.

Medtronic is a Minneapolis-based medical device company.
