S&P upgrades McKesson

Standard & Poor's said it raised McKesson Corp.'s corporate credit and senior unsecured ratings to BBB+ from BBB and affirmed the commercial paper rating at A-2.

The outlook is positive.

The rating upgrade predominantly reflects McKesson's willingness to maintain a strong financial risk profile while making acquisitions and share repurchases, the agency said. S&P believes the company will continue to appropriately balance its financial risk profile with its growth strategy and its plan to return value to shareholders.
