Manulife names Ilene Kelman marketing director for private placements

Norfolk, Va., March 31 - Manulife Asset Management Private Markets hired Ilene Kelman as marketing director for private placements and commercial mortgages, according to a press release.

Kelman, who is based in New York City, is responsible for marketing the investment capabilities of Manulife's private placement debt and commercial mortgage teams.

Previously, Kelman worked at Deutsche Insurance Asset Management. She has also worked at Dreyfus Investments and Salomon Brothers Asset Management, Inc.

Manulife Asset Management is the global asset management arm of Toronto-based Manulife Financial.
