Fresnillo buys more than 5.5 million shares of MAG Silver

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 2 - MAG Silver Corp. investors led by Fresnillo plc reported the purchase of 5,555,500 shares on Sept. 18 through Sept. 20 at prices from C$4.76 to C$5.31 each, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The investors beneficially own approximately 7.23 million shares, or 14.7%, of the Vancouver, B.C., silver mining company.
