Loral posts $9 million March operating loss

Pittsburgh, May 10 - Loral Space & Communications Ltd. posted a $9 million operating loss in March on sales of $51 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The loss in February was $1 million on sales of $39 million.

The net loss for March was $10 million.

Cash and cash equivalents for the New York-based satellite company were $78 million at March 31.

Loral filed for bankruptcy on July 15, 2003. Its Chapter 11 case number is 03-41710.
