Loral posts $6 million loss on $42 million in sales for January

Houston, March 28 - Loral Space & Communications Ltd. posted a $1 million net loss on sales of $42 million for the month of January, according to its monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York Friday.

The operating loss from continuing operations was $6 million.

At the end of January, cash and cash equivalents for the New York-based satellite company were $122 million.

Loral filed for bankruptcy on July 15, 2003. Its Chapter 11 case number is 03-41710.
