Loral Space & Communications shareholder MHR Advisors ups ownership to 61%

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 5 - Loral Space & Communications Inc. investors led by MHR Advisors LLC bought 17,370 shares of the company's stock on Dec. 4 for $9.4546 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

On Dec. 3, MHR Advisors purchased 12,761 shares for $8.5373 each, a prior SEC filing said.

The investors beneficially own a total of 19.22 million shares, or 61%, of the New York satellite communications company.
