Liberty Shipping drops stake in International Shipholding to 5.5%

Charlotte, N.C., May 7 - International Shipholding Corp. investors led by Liberty Shipping Group LLC sold 78,669 shares of the company's common stock, reducing their ownership interest to 5.5%, from 6.6% on April 29.

The shares were sold between April 30 and May 6 for $21.05 to $22.65 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between March 31 and April 29, Liberty sold 102,710 shares, a prior SEC filing said.

Liberty, a Lake Success, N.Y.-based owner and operator of dry bulk vessels, beneficially owns 395,772 International Shipholding shares.

Mobile, Ala.-based International Shipholding provides international and domestic maritime transportation services.
