New Issue: JPMorgan prices $8.82 million buffered return enhanced notes linked to Asian indexes

Des Moines, May 22 - JPMorgan Chase & Co. priced an $8.82 million issue of 0% buffered return enhanced notes due Nov. 26, 2008 linked to a basket of five Asian indexes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket includes the Amex Hong Kong 30 index with a weight of 17%, the FTSE/Xinhua China 25 index with a weight of 21.5%, the Korea Stock Price index 200 with a weight of 29%, the MSCI Taiwan index with a weight of 22% and the MSCI Singapore index with a weight of 10.5%.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any positive return on the basket up to a maximum total return of 24.5%. Investors will lose 1.1111% for each 1% that the basket drops beyond 10%.
