By Kenneth Lim

Boston, June 17 - The former structured products team of LaSalle Bank has joined interdealer broker ICAP plc's new structured product services division, ICAP said in a press release.

"It has been widely reported that structured product distribution has experienced explosive growth over the past several years in the U.S.," the company said in the press release. "This growth has led to great change, evolution and opportunity within our industry. In that light, we are proud to announce that the former structured products team from LaSalle Bank has joined ICAP, the world's premier voice and electronic interdealer broker."

The division, called SPX, will be headed by former LaSalle managers John Tessar and Ed Coach. Other former LaSalle staff in the new division include Krista Martin, John Korody and Eric Moskoff. Countrywide Securities Corp.'s Chris White and Alex Ciccotelli from HSBC Bank USA are also joining the team.

The division was set up to focus on distributing structured products to dealers and advisors.
