Gynesonics gets $2 million from Hercules

Tampa, Fla., Sept. 19 - Hercules Technology Growth Capital, Inc. provided $2 million of debt financing to Gynesonics, Inc., a developer of minimally invasive treatments for uterine fibroid tumors.
The Palo Alto, Calif., development-stage company was founded in 2005 by Jessica Grossman, who recognized the need for a treatment for uterine fibroids that solves the problems of general anesthesia, long recovery times and infertility.
