Guggenheim adds fund, investment management offerings under new name

Chicago, Sept. 21 - Guggenheim Partners, LLC said it will bolster its fund offerings with the addition of new services and offerings under a new umbrella.

The firm will combine its asset management capabilities under the name Guggenheim Investments, bringing together several of its investment management groups with Rydex|SGI, according to a press release.

The integration of Rydex|SGI will allow the company to offer more than 100 exchange-traded funds and ETPs with a total of more than $20 billion in assets, the release noted.

The consolidated ETF lineup includes BulletShares, CurrencyShares and RydexShares pure style and equal weight products and will be marketed in the United States under the Guggenheim name.

The company said it intends to extend its reach among financial advisers as well as enhance its ability to serve institutional investors, ultra high net worth individuals, investment advisers and family offices.

Guggenheim Investments will offer alternative and equity investment offerings along with credit research and a fixed-income platform through separately managed accounts, open-ended mutual funds, offshore mutual funds, variable insurance trusts, unit investment trusts, closed-end funds and exchange traded funds, the release noted.

Todd Boehly is president of Guggenheim Partners and head of Guggenheim Investments. Scott Minerd is chief investment officer; Don Cacciapaglia is chief administrative officer; and Richard Goldman is chief operating officer.

Citibank is the financial adviser to Guggenheim Partners on this transaction.
