Guggenheim Series 851 offers units of its three portfolios

San Diego, Jan. 9 - Guggenheim Defined Portfolios, Series 851 is offering units of its three portfolios, according to an S-6 amendment filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Lisle, Ill.-based Guggenheim Funds Distributors, Inc.

The Corporate High Yield and Income Portfolio of Closed-End Funds (15-month), Series 22 seeks current income and the potential for capital appreciation by investing in common shares of closed-end investment companies, the majority of which contain portfolios concentrated in high-yield securities.

On the inception date, Jan. 9, $150,336 in securities comprises the portfolio. The 15,185 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.625.

The Senior Loan and Income Portfolio of Closed-End Funds (15-month), Series 22 seeks current income and the potential for capital appreciation by investing, under normal conditions, at least 80% of its assets in closed-end funds considered to be senior loan funds and/or income funds.

On the inception date, $150,385 in securities comprises the portfolio. The 15,190 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.625.

The Strategic Income Portfolio (15-month), Series 58 seeks to provide current income and the potential for capital appreciation by investing in common shares of closed-end investment companies that are considered to be income funds.

On the inception date, $150,359 in securities comprises the portfolio. The 15,188 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.625.

All of the units have a maximum sales charge of 2.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales fee, a 1.45% deferred sales fee and a 0.5% creation and development fee. Sales charge reductions of up to 1.5% of the offering price are available depending on the amount of investment.

The portfolios have a mandatory termination date of April 5, 2013.
