Guaranty Bancorp chairman could increase ownership to 19.9%

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 15 - Castle Creek Capital Partners III, LP is seeking permission from the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System to increase its interest in Guaranty Bancorp to up to 19.9% from 5%.

John Eggemeyer, Guaranty Bancorp's chairman of the board, owns a controlling interest in Castle Creek and beneficially owns 6.2% of the company's common stock including the shares owned by Castle Creek, a company news release said.

Denver-based Guaranty Bancorp is the holding company for Guaranty Bank and Trust Co.
