Grupo Aeromexico draws $625 million in final DIP facility disbursement

Chicago, Feb. 24 – Grupo Aeromexico, SAB de CV followed up on its recent announcement that the milestones to receive the third and final disbursement of its $1 billion senior secured superpriority multi-tranche debtor-in-possession facility had been met and that the company has received $625 million from the final disbursement, according to a press release.

As previously reported, the company had previously drawn down $100 million in a first tranche and $175 million in a second tranche under the facility.

Approval of the facility was made final by judge Shelley C. Chapman of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Aeromexico continues to pursue its voluntary financial restructuring through Chapter 11 and will continue to strengthen its financial position and liquidity.

Grupo Aeromexico, a holding company for commercial aviation, is based in Mexico City. The company filed Chapter 11 on June 30, 2020 under case number 20-11563.
