Grubb & Ellis shareholder cuts stake to 12.9%

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 8 - Grubb & Ellis Co. investor Anthony W. Thompson decreased his interest in the company to 12.9% with the sale of 701,875 shares of the company's stock.

The shares were sold between Dec. 19 and Jan. 6 at prices from $1.0156 to $1.2129 each, it was reported in a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Thompson beneficially owns 8,313,043 shares of the Chicago-based commercial real estate company.
