America Movil calls remaining capital securities due 2073 at par

Los Angeles, Sept. 28 – America Movil, SAB de CV issued a notice of redemption for its series B capital securities due 2073 (ISIN: XS0969341147).

All outstanding notes will be redeemed in full on Oct. 28 at par plus accrued interest to but excluding the redemption date.

Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.

America Movil had launched a tender offer for any and all of its €550 million 2073 capital securities on Sept. 16. The company offered to purchase the securities at 104. The offer expired on Sept. 23 and was expected to settle on Sept. 28.

The issuer had announced that if less than 20% of the notes remain outstanding after the tender offer, it would exercise its clean-up call right.

America Movil is a Mexico City-based telecom provider.
