Greif director owns 54.5% of company's class B common stock

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 17 - Michael H. Dempsey, a director of Greif, Inc., reported beneficial ownership of about 12.5 million shares, or 54.5%, of the company's class B common stock.

"Changes to the company's present board of directors may occur as a result of persons nominated for election as directors by the board of directors or a committee thereof and who are subsequently elected by the company's class B stockholders," according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Greif is a Delaware, Ohio-based manufacturer and seller of industrial packaging products and containerboard and corrugated products.
