Cheniere Energy to redeem $625 million 4.25% convertibles due 2045

Lexington, Ky., Dec. 6 – Cheniere Energy, Inc. will redeem all $625 million outstanding 4.25% convertible senior notes due 2045 on Jan. 5, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Notes called for redemption may be converted by noteholders before the conversion deadline of 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 31. Noteholders who have exercised their conversion rights by the deadline will not have their notes redeemed on the redemption date.

Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.

The company will fund the redemption with cash on hand and/or borrowings under its credit facility.

Cheniere is a Houston-based LNG company.
