Bank of East Asia calls $500 million 4% notes due 2026

New York, Oct. 15 – Bank of East Asia, Ltd. said it will exercise its option to redeem all of its outstanding $500 million 4% tier 2 capital dated subordinated notes due 2026 on Nov. 3, according to a company notice.

The notes, which were issued under the bank’s $6 billion medium-term note program, will be canceled and delisted from the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd.

Bank of East Asia is based in Hong Kong.
