CLO primary market quiet while secondary market volume active

Chicago, July 22 – The CLO primary market went quiet on Wednesday as no new deals were announced and no transactions were heard to have priced.

Trading was active in the secondary, though, with nearly 100 unique players exchanging almost $1 billion in paper.

The majority of that trading was in the investment grade sector of the CBO/CDO/CLO market with 66 entities involved in 101 transaction totaling $814.42 million.

Secondary volume was lighter, but still active with 33 traders conducting 60 trades for $162.78 million in notes.

There was just shy of $700 million in both sectors exchanged on Monday.
