Prudential unit to redeem £100 million 8.5% undated subordinated bonds

Olympia, Wash., May 8 – Prudential plc subsidiary Scottish Amicable Finance plc will redeem its £100 million of 8.5% undated subordinated guaranteed bonds, according to a filing with the London Stock Exchange.

The notes will be redeemed in full on June 30.

The notes are irrevocably guaranteed on a subordinated basis by Scottish Amicable Life Assurance Society.

Prudential is a London-based life insurance and financial services company.
