By Susanna Moon

Chicago, March 7 – Elisa Oyj is tendering for up to €100 million of its €300 million 2.25% notes due 2019 in an offer being made by Nordea Bank Ab (Publ).

The purchase price will be 106.145% assuming a settlement date of March 16, based on a fixed purchase yield of negative 15 basis points.

The tender offer will end at noon ET on March 14.

The offer is contingent on the issue of new notes under the company’s €1 billion euro medium-term notes program.

“The purpose of the offer is to proactively manage upcoming debt redemptions and to extend the average debt maturity profile for the company,” according to an announcement by Nordea Bank.

Elisa expects to price €300 million of new seven-year notes, according to a separate company announcement.
