CLO primary market quiet; non-investment-grade securities secondary market action rises

Eureka Springs, Ark., Jan. 12 – New year primary activity continues to be quiet in the CLO markets, while securitized secondary trading has been active.
On Wednesday, $170.09 million of investment-grade CBO, CDO and CLO issues were traded, compared to $210.04 million on Tuesday and $44 million on Monday, according to Trace.
In non-investment-grade securities trading, $284.6 million of CBO, CDO and CLO issues traded on Wednesday, up from $232.33 million traded on Tuesday and $156.45 million traded on Monday.
