Severn Trent Utilities repurchases €182.64 million of 5.25% bonds

Norfolk, Va., April 9 – Severn Trent Utilities Finance plc said it bought back €182,639,000 of its 5.25% bonds due March 11, 2016, according to two filings with the London Stock Exchange.

The redemption occurred in two transactions. The company first bought back €117,959,000 of the notes and then another €64.68 million; both took place on March 31.

Following transactions, €517,361,000 of the bonds remain outstanding.

HSBC Bank plc is the paying agent.

The issuer, formerly Severn Trent Water Utilities Finance plc, is a Birmingham, England-based company. It provides water and treats wastewater through its two businesses, Severn Trent Water and Severn Trent Services.
