Green Bankshares investor increases stake to 9.14%

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 18 - Scott M. Niswonger bought 124,165 additional shares of Green Bankshares, Inc. between Jan. 21 and Feb. 19, upping his ownership interest to 9.14% from 8.26%.

The shares were priced from $8.30 to $10.24 each, it was reported in a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Niswonger bought 47,193 shares of the company's stock between Nov. 11 and Jan. 20 for $10.37 each, a prior SEC filing said.

The investor beneficially owns 1,198,164 shares of the Greeneville, Tenn., bank holding company.
