AT&T to redeem all $1 billion of 4.85% global notes due Feb. 15, 2014

Minneapolis, Aug. 13 - AT&T Inc. called all $1 billion of its 4.85% global notes due Feb. 15, 2014, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be redeemed on Sept. 11 for roughly $1.062 billion, the $1 billion including principal amount, $4 million of accrued interest and a call premium of $58 million.

The redemption of this debt is expected to be funded by cash on hand and commercial paper, the filing said.

AT&T is a Dallas-based telecommunications company.
