AT&T plans to call $4.8 billion of notes in three series on June 29

New York, May 29 - AT&T Inc. plans to redeem $4.8 billion of notes in three series, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company will call Bellsouth's outstanding 4.75% notes due Nov. 15, 2012, AT&T's outstanding 4.95% notes due Jan. 15, 2013, and AT&T's outstanding 6.70% notes due Nov. 15, 2013. The notes will be redeemed on June 29, and the redemption amount will be determined on June 26.
AT&T expects to pay a total of $5,069,000,000. Funding will come from cash on hand and commercial paper.
Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.
AT&T is a Dallas-based telecommunications company.
