Nelnet to redeem in full Student Loan Trust 2003-1 notes on Oct. 25

Madison, Wis., Oct. 3 - Nelnet Student Loan Funding, LLC intends to purchase all of the remaining notes issued by Nelnet Student Loan Trust 2003-1, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The outstanding 2003-1 notes will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Oct. 25.

Wells Fargo Bank, NA is the trustee.

The company said in the filing that, depending on market conditions, it may in the future consider redeeming notes issued by other similar securitization trusts for which it is the sponsor.

Nelnet provides education planning and financing and is based in Lincoln, Neb.
