British Telecommunications redeems £1 million bonds due 2016

San Diego, Oct. 18 - British Telecommunications plc said it redeemed £1 million of its bonds due Dec. 7, 2016 on Oct. 10, according to a company filing with the London Stock Exchange.

Following this, £692 million of the notes remains outstanding.

The telecommunications company is based in London.
