New York Fed buys $946 million agency bonds under purchase program

New York, Feb. 19 - The Federal Reserve Bank of New York accepted and purchased $946 million of agency-issued securities with maturities from April 15, 2014 through April 18, 2016, according to its web site.

Holders submitted $3.154 billion of securities for purchase.

The outright agency coupon purchases will settle on Feb. 22.

Fannie Mae notes

The purchases include the following notes issued by Fannie Mae:

• $4 million of 4.125% notes due April 15, 2014;

• $21 million of 4.625% notes due Oct. 15, 2014; and

• $41 million of 5% notes due April 15, 2015.

Freddie Mac notes

The Fed is also purchasing the following notes issued by Freddie Mac:

• $18 million of 5% notes due July 15, 2014;

• $22 million of 4.5% notes due Jan. 15, 2015;

• $711 million of 2.875% notes due Feb. 9, 2015;

• $24 million of 4.375% notes due July 17, 2015;

• $70 million of 4.75% notes due Nov. 17, 2015; and

• $35 million of 5.25% notes due April 18, 2016.
