New York Fed buys $1.82 billion of agency bonds under purchase program

New York, Dec 4 - The Federal Reserve Bank of New York accepted and purchased $1,079,000,000 of agency-issued securities with maturities from Dec. 11, 2013 through April 18, 2016, according to its web site.

Holders submitted $3,435,000,000 of securities for purchase.

The outright agency coupon purchases will settle on Dec. 7.

Fannie Mae notes

The purchases include the following notes issued by Fannie Mae:

• $64 million of 2.75% notes due March 13, 2014;

• $92 million of 2.5% notes due May 15, 2014;

• $390 million of 3% notes due Sept. 16, 2014;

• $11 million of 4.625% notes due Oct. 15, 2014; and

• $10 million of 5% notes due April 15, 2015.

Freddie Mac notes

The Fed is also purchasing the following notes issued by Freddie Mac:

• $64 million of 2.5% notes due Jan. 7, 2014;

• $157 million of 2.5% notes due April 23, 2014;

• $91 million of 5% notes due July 15, 2014;

• $39 million of 3% notes due July 28, 2014;

• $52 million of 4.5% notes due Jan. 15, 2015;

• $78 million of 4.375% notes due July 17, 2015; and

• $31 million of 5.25% notes due April 18, 2016.
