Georgia Pacific starts roadshow Wednesday for $500 million senior notes

St. Louis, Jan. 14 - Georgia-Pacific Corp. starts the roadshow Wednesday for an offering of $500 million senior notes due 2010 (Ba1/BB+), according to a syndicate source.

The notes will price on Jan. 24, the source added.

Goldman Sachs & Co. and Banc of America Securities are joint bookrunners.

The notes are non-callable for four years.

Proceeds from the Rule 144A/Regulation S notes will be used to repay amounts outstanding under its capital markets bridge facility, which matures Aug. 16, 2003.

The issuer is an Atlanta-headquartered manufacturer of tissue, packaging, paper, building products, pulp and related chemicals.
