Georgia Power intends to price offering of notes via four bookrunners

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 28 – Georgia Power Co. plans to price series 2017B senior notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes feature a make-whole call and then a par call.

Barclays, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc. and UBS Securities LLC are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay a portion of the company’s $115 million of short-term debt and for general corporate purposes.

The electric utility is based in Atlanta.
