Genomic Health executive chairman sells shares

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 17 - Former Genomic Health, Inc. chief executive officer and current executive chairman of the board Randal W. Scott, Ph.D., sold 12,000 shares of the company's stock on Feb. 10 and Feb. 11 at an average price of $20.80 to $21.48 each, it was reported in a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares were sold under Scott's Dec. 8 sale plan that provides for the sale of up to 144,000 shares of Genomic Health over a 12-month period.

Scott beneficially owns 2,172,143 shares, or 7.6%, of the Redwood City, Calif., biotechnology company.

In January, former Genomic president and chief operating officer Kimberly J. Popovits was named CEO. Scott said his focus would be on the company's longer-term strategy.
