Virtus Senior Floating Rate Fund adds Ossino to management team

San Diego, Aug. 2 - The Virtus Senior Floating Rate Fund added Francesco Ossino as a portfolio manager, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Ossino joins David L. Albrycht and Kyle A. Jennings, existing portfolio managers for the fund.

Ossino is a senior managing director and sector head of the bank loan asset class at Newfleet Asset Management, LLC, the fund's subadviser. Prior to this position, Ossino was a portfolio manager at Hartford Investment Management Co. He has also held a variety of credit analyst and portfolio management positions at Cigna, HVB Bank and FleetBoston Financial.

The fund seeks high total return from both current income and capital appreciation by investing primarily in non-investment-grade bank loans. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in a portfolio of senior floating-rate loans.

Hartford-based Virtus Investment Advisers, Inc. is the fund's investment adviser.
