Cowen hires Kammerman as medical technology analyst

New York, May 17 - Cowen & Co. said it hired Eli Kammerman as senior analyst covering the medical technology sector.

"Eli's addition to Cowen and Company will extend our areas of coverage into several medical technology categories. Given his extensive experience in the health care industry, combined with his strong financial background, we are proud to add such a highly-respected analyst to our research team," said Barry Tarasoff, Cowen's director of research and Kammerman's new boss.

Kammerman was previously at Cathay Financial where he was a medical products analyst. He has 11 years' experience in the health care industry, including Pharmacia Diagnostics, Genex Corp. and Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and 10 years at Wall Street firms, including Merrill Lynch and Salomon Brothers as well as Cathay.
