Morgan Joseph appoints new biotech analyst

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 24 - Morgan Joseph & Co., Inc. said it added Eugene Trogan to its equity analyst team and that he will cover biotechnology.

Previously, Trogan was a biotechnology analyst at Ursus Capital Management, LLC and at Sturza's Institutional Research. In addition, he has conducted patent prosecution for biopharmaceutical companies and is co-inventor of a patented, novel, non-invasive method for detecting lipid plaque.

Trogan's appointment expands the size of Morgan Joseph's equity analyst team to nine, its largest since the firm's repositioning five years ago to specialize in providing full investment banking services to middle market companies, the New-York based company said in a new release.
