Pacific Growth Equities hires biotech salesman Tim Wilson

By Angela McDaniels

Seattle, Jan. 3 - Pacific Growth Equities said Tim Wilson has joined the firm as a sector sales professional in biotechnology and emerging pharmaceuticals.

"We are very excited to have such a highly experienced individual with years of Wall Street experience and a formidable track record in identifying growth stocks in the biotechnology and emerging pharma space," co-chief executive officer Thomas J. Dietz said in a company news release.

"His sellside and venture capital experience is a perfect combination for his inclusion in our sector sales department."

The sector sales department works with the investment bank's institutional clients to provide unpublished, proprietary investment ideas within specific sectors.

The bank said Wilson has almost 20 years of investment experience analyzing, investing in and raising capital for the biotechnology industry with Atlas Ventures, Bear Stearns, SG Cowen, UBS Securities, Hambrecht & Quist and Rothschild Asset Management.

He received his doctorate degree in molecular biology from Cambridge University and an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Imperial College in London.

Pacific Growth Equities is an investment bank based in San Francisco that specializes in emerging growth companies.
