Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy delayed due to Katrina

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Aug. 31 - The Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy has been pushed back to Dec. 16-19 from Sept. 21-24 because of the effects of Hurricane Katrina, according to an American Society for Microbiology announcement.

The conference will now be held in Washington, D.C., instead of New Orleans.

It includes lectures from infectious disease experts and presentations on vaccines and antibiotics.

Those previously registered for the event will have their registration automatically transferred, the announcement said.
