GenCorp investor sells 345,853 shares, reduces ownership to 4.98%

Charlotte, N.C., April 15 - A group of GenCorp Inc. shareholders led by Sandell Asset Management Corp. sold 345,853 shares of the company's stock between April 9 and April 15 priced from $2.24 to $2.43, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between March 26 and April 8, the investors sold 672,915 shares of the company's stock and reported a 5.6% stake, a prior SEC filing said.

Sandell and its affiliates beneficially own 2,913,957 shares, or 4.98%, of the Rancho Cordova, Calif., defense products manufacturer.
