Geeknet shareholder reports purchase of 891,866 additional shares

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 14 - Geeknet Inc. investors led by Marlin Sams Fund, LP bought 891,866 shares of the company's stock between Nov. 19 and Dec. 10 priced from $1.15 to $1.30 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between Nov. 12 and Nov. 17, the investors bought 1,142,573 shares for a 25.2% stake, a prior SEC filing said.

William M. Sams beneficially owns 16.1 million shares, or 26.6%, of the Mountain View, Calif.-based online community.

Geeknet's networks include SourceForge.net, Slashdot, ThinkGeek, Ohloh and freshmeat.net sites.
