Geeknet shareholder reports purchase of more than 1.14 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 18 - Geeknet Inc. investors led by Marlin Sams Fund, LP bought 1,142,573 shares of the company's stock between Nov. 12 and Nov. 17 priced from $1.15 to $1.16 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

William M. Sams beneficially owns 15,208,134 shares, or 25.2%, of the Mountain View, Calif.-based online community.

Geeknet's networks include SourceForge.net, Slashdot, ThinkGeek, Ohloh and freshmeat.net sites.
