By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 28 - Intrinsic Value Asset Management, Inc. wants Exact Sciences Corp. to hire an investment banking firm to sell the company to the highest bidder in a period of 30 to 90 days.

The shareholder believes an auction is the best and safest way to maximize shareholder value, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Intrinsic Value beneficially owns about 2.15 million shares, or 8%, of the company.

Exact Sciences, based in Marlborough, Mass., develops screening technologies for cancer detection.
