Chesapeake buys more shares of Emmis Communications

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 22 - Emmis Communications Corp. investors led by Chesapeake Partners Management Co., Inc. bought 832,136 shares of the company's stock between Sept. 26 and Oct. 17 priced from $4.93 to $5.56 each.

The transactions were reported in a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Chesapeake beneficially owns 2,247,065 shares, or 7.4%, of the Indianapolis media company's outstanding stock.
