Quercus ups Emcore ownership to 11.2%

Des Moines, Oct. 5 - Investors led by the Quercus Trust increased their ownership in Emcore Corp. to 11.2% from 9.7%, according to an SC 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

The investors now own 5,638,127 shares of Emcore, up from 4,926,745 shares on Aug. 24.

Based in Somerset, N.J., Emcore is a provider of compound semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the broadband, fiber optic, satellite and solar power markets.
