Microtek shareholders to vote Nov. 9 on proposed acquisition by Ecolab

Seattle, Oct. 9 - Microtek Medical Holdings, Inc. said it will hold a special meeting of shareholders at 11 a.m. ET on Nov. 9 at the company's headquarters.

Shareholders will be asked to vote on the company's merger agreement with Ecolab Inc., under which Ecolab will acquire Microtek for $6.30 per share.

The deal is valued at $274 million and was announced on Aug. 7.

Alpharetta, Ga.-based Microtek manufactures infectious and hazardous waste management products for the health care industry.

Ecolab, located in St. Paul, provides cleaning, sanitizing, food safety and infection prevention products and services.
